D Nice Presents True Hip Hop Stories

D Nice was in de 80 en 90e jaren een member van de B.D.P crew Boogie Down Productions.D Nice werd de Dj van BDP na de dood van Scott La Rock en produceerde samen met Krs One het nummer "Self Destruction voor het "Stop The Violence" project.In 1990 bracht hij zijn eerste album uit "Call Me D Nice" met o.a de singels Call Me D Nice,Crumbs On The Table en Glory 1 jaar later 1991 kwam hij met zijn 2de album uit "To Tha Rescue" met de singels "25 Ta Life,Time To Flow en To Tha Rescue dit zijn  zijn enigste albums die hij had gemaakt en hield zich hier na bezig met het produceren van muziek voor r&b groepen zoals "LeShaun,Nuttin Nyce en Hi-Five.D Nice is vandaag de dag een freelance fotograaf en werk voor verschillende bedrijven en labels zoals bad boy records van puff daddy.Maar D Nice heeft natuurlijk ook nog een grote liefde voor Hip Hop en kwam met "True Hip Hop Stories" in D Nice Presents True Hip Hop Stories laat hij verschillende Mc's vertellen over bepaalde periodes uit hun carriere. Freddie foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles brengt voor zijn fan`s een gratis album uit met maar liefst 14 tracks erop genaamd "Leaks Volume 1" veel nieuws over dit album is er niet wel heb ik een tracklist voor je en de download links.Verder is Bumpy hard bezig in de studio samen Krs One aan het album "Royalty Check" wat gepland staat voor 31 mei aanstaande.

The Gravediggaz komen met nieuw album

 Shabazz The Disciple die mee doet in het nummer "Diary of a madman" van het eerste Gravediggaz album "6 Feet Deep"( 1994 ) maakte het nieuws bekend dat The Gravediggaz weer samen zijn gekomen en de studio zijn ingedoken en dit keer zit na jaren The Rza er weer bij.The Rza en Prince Paul verlieten de groep na het 2de album "The Pick,The Sickle,And The Shovel" ( 1997 ) en Frukwan en Too Poetic bleven samen en kwamen in 2001 met het 3de en laatste Gravediggaz album uit "Nightmare in A Minor" kort na het uitkomen van het album overleed Too Poetic aan kanker en bleef Frukwan alleen achter.Nu in 2011 is het eindelijk dan weer zover The Rza Frukwon en Prince Paul zijn weer samen en werken weer aan een nieuw Gravediggaz album Shabazz The Diciple zegt hier nog over "Rza had called me last march..He`s like Yo It`s Gravediggaz time explained Shabazz i went down there him and frukwon ( The Gatekeeper ) already started on some songs i went down  there did a couple of songs at his crib Killah Priest was there it was crazy cause me Killah Priest Rza Frukwan was together in the studio that was like 1994 all over again".Waneer het album zal uitkomen is nog niet bekend en ook is er voor het album nog geen titel stay tuned.( just when you thought it was over haha here come the gravediggaz )

 

Heather B komt met een nieuw album "Open Bar" ( She's Back )

Heather B kwam in 1996 uit met haar eerste album "Takin Mine" wat geheel is geproduceerd door Kenny Parker het broertje van Krs One + 1 nummer geproduceerd door Da Beatminerz. Heather had succes met haar eerste singels van het album "All Glocks Down" en "If Headz Only Knew".In 2002 kwam haar 2de album uit "Eternal Affairs" op dit album heeft heather samen gewerkt met Pete Rock Dj Premier en Gordon Williams.Buiten haar eigen albums verscheen heather ook op albums van andere artiesten zoals M.o.p Black Moon en Da Beatminerz daarna is het een poosje stil geweest rond Heather tot vorig jaar toen kwam ze met een gloed nieuwe singel uit geproduceerd door Dj Premier "Flyin High" en is het begin van een nieuw album. Na deze zomer moet het dan gebeuren terug van weggeweest komt heather b met haar nieuwe album "Open Bar" op dit album werkt heather samen met legendarische producers zoals Dj Premier Kenny Parker Pete Rock en Large Professor. Een datum voor het album is er nog niet dus daar moeten we nog even op wachten maar 1 ding is zeker voor de echte Hip Hop headz en underground headz Heather B is Back. Akrobatik ligt in het ziekenhuis

 Boston Mc Akrobatik is opgenomen in het ziekenhuis na een hartaanval daar is Akrobatik meteen aan zijn hart geopereerd en zijn toestand is nu stabiel en herstellende.Collega`s en vrienden maakte dit bekend via twitter.Zo zegt zijn collega Mr Lif via twitter pls send positive enegry to @akrobatikmc he is in stable condition after hving open heart surgery due to a heart attack Dj Premier zegt much love & prayers goes out 2 Akrobatik who is in the hospital in a coma....send strong positive thoughts....love 2 his family en nog velen volgde maar de laatste berichten zijn dat Akrobatik niet in een coma ligt zoals Dj Premier is zijn tweet melden laten we hopen dat Akrobatik snel zal herstellen.

Krs One & Freddie Foxxx album Royalty Check

 Hip Hop Pioneers Krs One & Freddie Foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles komen samen met een album uit genaamd "Royalty Check".Met dit album willen de twee Mc`s terug naar de essentie van Hip Hop.Het album zal verschijnen op het label 682 Records en bevat 15 tracks en zal 31 mei worden uitgebracht.Ook liet freddie foxxx weten dat hij bezig is met het nieuwe stop the violence album samen met Krs One.

Interview Stick Up Kid Crew Member Hombre from Germany

Paul: How are you doing hombre ?

Answer Hombre: im fine, thanks, summersaison is going to start, you can paint in shorts, turn on the bbq while painting hehe good times will come

Paul:on which age did you start to do graffiti?

Answer Hombre: i started 1995, wich means i was 13 or 14

Paul:how did you get involved with graffiti and who inspired you?

Answer Hombre: alot of friends in school did it. i never recognized this colorfull giant letters before, but as i started to get involved in this game, i started to see that every city is full of this art. at thebeginning i was very influenced by the kings in our area: gismo, skare, skotty and so on. next to this, and all the guys who were all magazines these days, i found my influence mostly in comics and videogames. learned alot from reduced 8 or 16 bit graphics!

Paul:who is your favorite graffiti artist?

Answer Hombre:impossible to pick one single writer. i will always be a huge can2 fan, his style, his attitude, and his continualness and what he did for graffiti worldwide is so impressing.

Paul:what is your favorite thing to draw?

Answer Hombre: WOMEN haha

Paul:what is the most difficult to draw?

Answer Hombre : for me: point of view. im coming from really classic characters, along time just from hips upwards, classic b boy stuff, so it was always difficult for me to put the right boogie and swing in some of my figures

Paul:what is your favorite place to paint? ( walls,trains,tunnels,)

Answer Hombre : i love dead places, old houses, left areas, stations, whatever. but as i said at the beginning, i also enjoy a relaxing session at the local hall of fame, chilling, have a good time

Paul:how did you become a member of the stick up kids (s.u.k ) ?

Answer Hombre: 2009 i first met can2 personal, we met at a small "jam" at the baclyard of the stieber twins store in heidelberg, where we painted some canvas for the release of the puma bode sneaker ( i love this story, sorry but it so full of hip hop history hehe) we connected, painted a wall together, talked from time to time, chatting, whatever. and a day, he tells me that he want to bring some young guns to the crew, he came back from asia, where he asked artime joe and jay flow, and back in germany mad C was also on his list, and i felt SO honored that i should be the 4th on his list!

Paul:what kind of music do you like ? and who is your favorite artists?

Answer Hombre: im still in this rap thing, but also like the roots: funk and soul. i`m celebrating trouble funk, grandmaster flash of course, sugarhill gang, whoever. my favorite rap act is still nas, like his lyrical style, but if i had to pick only one artist i can carry with me for the rest of my life it would be al green! so many great songs, so much emotions, touching me every single time

Paul:Is there a graffiti artist who you like to work with ?

Answer Hombre: are there are alot hehe. next to all the guys i already was proud to stand next to them, there are people like "mr wany", whos style i really love!

Paul:what else do you like besides graffiti?

Answer Hombre: i`m a movie fan, a oldschool video game junkie, a sneaker lover and a tattoo fan

Paul:where are you most proud of ( art work )?

Answer Hombre: hm.... i think the only thing i can be proud of is my ambition. not even one of the guys i started with is still painting today. anything else is just luck, practice, studying and so on. nothing to be proud of. im proud of my mom, that she teached me to act as i act, to live as i live! thank mama!

Paul:Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?

Answer Hombre: i hope i will be at the same place i am today, just better payed for my work hehe. i`m very happy with my life actually, with my grafiti life as well as with my "private" parts. so if i can hold the fort and fix my bills a lil bit, i`m happy!

Paul:can people also buy your work ?

Answer Hombre: normally i sell canvases just at exhibitions or as commissions. sometimes i sell some prints or canvas that are geting to old and starting to show me my mistakes

Paul:where can people see your work and contact you if they want to have some work from you is there a website of Hombre?
